Honolulu airport gets full-body scanner

Passengers at the Honolulu Airport will now pass through full-body scanners at airport security checkpoints. The Transportation Security Administration unveiled the scanners, which produce head-to-toe images of travelers, at the airport last week. A TSA official said that scanners protect travelers' privacy by blurring their faces and noted that the TSA officer who views the image of the passenger never actually sees the passenger in person.
