Basic bad habits can add up to extra pounds, experts say

People often do not pay attention to poor dietary habits, such as eating while standing or drenching salad in fattening dressings, which can cause weight gain, experts say. Registered dietitian Dawn Jackson Blatner says people can add calories without thinking about it by selecting too many specialty ingredients in sandwiches, not paying attention to what they put in their coffee, having dessert every day and eating while distracted.
