Few patients hit personal weight-loss goals, study finds

Data on 103,693 overweight and obese people who followed commercial weight-loss programs showed that only 4.5% of people at three months were able to meet their target weight-loss goal. However, 33.3% of participants lost 10% of their baseline body weight and 79.4% lost 5% after three months, according to the findings presented at the Obesity Society meeting.
