Hulu owners weigh company's future after dropping sale plans

Hulu's owners have decided they will not sell the video-streaming company after months of speculation and weeks of intense bidding. The owners -- Walt Disney Co., News Corp., Comcast and Providence Equity Partners -- said they decided that Hulu's long-term earning potential was too great to sacrifice for short-term gain. Observers say that the decision carries the potential for both risk and reward as the owners work to broaden adoption of so-called TV Everywhere without offending cable and satellite customers.
