N.C. district pairs relationships with technology:

A North Carolina school district has adopted a relationship-building program as a complement to its one-to-one laptop initiative. Educators say the "Capturing Kids' Hearts" program fosters an environment in which teachers feel comfortable ceding some authority to students, who, in turn, are able to take chances. As part of the program, teachers greet students in the hallways and encourage them to share stories in class.
