Calif. experts support expanding palliative care services

The next step for palliative care in California hospitals is to expand it from hospitals to community settings such as clinics, nursing homes and patients' homes, says Judy Citko of the Coalition for Compassionate Care of California. "Patients shouldn't have to be hospitalized to get this kind of care," she said.
