National School Lunch Week focuses on nutrition

A Utah school district is among those nationwide celebrating National School Lunch Week. Throughout the year, however, nutrition professionals say the focus is on preparing healthy meals for students that comply with new federal guidelines. Despite the cost, nutrition professionals serve fresh fruit and vegetables when possible, and include five components at every lunch: grains, meat or meat substitute, fruits, vegetables and milk.
