Adidas debuts stand-alone smart watch for runners

Adidas on Wednesday brought out a new smart watch for runners that makes use of virtual coaching but does not connect to a smartphone. Priced at $399 and going on sale Nov. 1, the watch will track distances and running times, while also guiding runners to increase their heart rate and then take it back down.
