Boeing is looking to Latin America as an emerging market for space and defense products. Excluding Brazil, Boeing predicts Latin America could account for sales of several billion dollars. Boeing is focusing on Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Peru. "Those are not the only countries where we see opportunities, but we do see at least in the near term, probably the greatest needs in those four customer communities," said Roberto Valla, vice president of international business development for the Americas at Boeing's defense, space and security unit.
