Citing security, Google to support Chrome for Windows XP for 1½ more years

Google plans to offer support and security updates for Chrome for Windows XP until at least April 2015, the company said. Google's announcement follows Microsoft's announcement that it will end support for Windows XP next year. Windows XP will be more vulnerable to security problems without support, Google noted, and Chrome support will offer a bulwark against browser-based malware attacks.
