Closed produce market has Russian importers scrambling

Russia's abrupt closure of the country's largest wholesale produce market left fruits and vegetables rotting inside and importers scrambling to find facilities for new shipments. The government shuttered the 120,000-square-meter center after more than 1,000 people demonstrated over the alleged murder of a Russian man by a migrant worker from the market. About 2,000 trucks deliver fresh fruit and vegetables to the market each day from the Netherlands and other parts of Europe.
