Column: Aging home-based agent workforce a sign of segment's strength

The home-based agent segment will actually benefit from its aging demographic, as it reflects a workforce composed of skilled, dedicated and financially stable professionals, often with established networks, writes Josh Tolkin, a director of business development at World Travel Holdings. A recent survey found that 98% of home-based agents are 41 or older. "Strong business acumen is developed with professional experience, and such experience is typically attained with time," Tolkin writes.
