Data revolution to fuel C-suite reforms, Gartner predicts

The convergence of mobile, cloud, Big Data and social media is not only revolutionizing the way public and private entities access, process and utilize information but is driving a managerial transformation that will eventually change the face of the C-suite, Gartner predicts. According to the firm's forecast for 2014, governments and other organizations are beginning to restructure their IT leadership to address new realities, in some cases by appointing multiple CIOs and in other cases by eliminating the position in favor of chief digital or data officers.
