Local services such as same-day delivery and in-store pickups, are a new focus for eBay and others as the holidays approach, said eBay's John Donahoe. And mobile is a key part of that. "EBay continued to see strong growth in mobile with 2.4 million new users acquired through mobile in Q3," Donahoe said, noting expanded coverage of eBay Now in San Francisco and New York. "And in time for the holidays, eBay Now plans to launch in Chicago and Dallas and will go global in 2014."
