Fed official cites concern about a new bubble in housing market

Signs are emerging of a new U.S. housing bubble, according to Richard Fisher, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, who also said he would continue to support an extension of quantitative easing for now because of the political situation in Washington. As for the housing market, Fisher said, "No one knows when the bubble pops. But I would argue that ... with each dollar we buy in Treasurys and mortgage-backed securities, we're getting closer to the tipping point."
