Ind. county planners look to tighten wind-turbine rules

The Tipton County, Ind., Plan Commission has approved two ordinance revisions that would limit wind projects to a special zone and increase the setback requirement to 2,640 feet from the nearest house and 1,500 feet from the nearest property line. A proposal to prohibit wind turbines was struck down by the commission.
