Paid clicks helped Google increase its net income by 36%

Google was able to post a 36% rise in net income in Q3 thanks to increased volume of ad sales and initiatives that pushed marketers to place more mobile ads. Paid clicks rose 26% year-over-year, while its cost-per-click rate dropped 8% in the quarter. "We are closing in on our goal of a beautiful, simple and intuitive experience regardless of your device," said CEO Larry Page.
