Savory varieties accounted for 25% of total cracker and cookie launches and made up 10% of global new bakery products for the 12 months ending July 31, according to Innova Market Insights. Health is a driving force, with 40% of new products promoted as healthy followed by 20% of new products sporting clean labels, the research firm said.
