U.S. adult obesity rate remains constant, CDC says

CDC data showed the prevalence of obesity among U.S. adults in 2011-2012 was 34.9%, indicating rates have held steady since 2009-2010. Obesity was most prevalent among middle-aged adults, 39.5% of whom were obese. Researchers noted little difference between men and women, but substantial differences linked to race and ethnicity.
