Eli Lilly's antidepressant shown effective reducing certain pain

The small clinical trial indicates Cymbalta is effective in cutting the pain suffered by women with fibromyalgia, a chronic disorder involving widespread muscle and soft tissue pain. Eli Lilly has not yet said whether it plans to use the data from the 12-week, 354-women study to push for expanded approval for the drug's use in cases of fibromyalgia.
