Boeing stretches new 747 for more seats

Boeing is lengthening the fuselage of the passenger version of its new 747-8, a move that will allow airlines to add about 17 additional seats. The wide-body airliner will seat 467. Competition from the Airbus A380, which seats 550 people, prompted Boeing to stretch the plane.
