Commission charts ambitious course for Delaware schools

A coalition of Delaware educators, community leaders and business leaders on Tuesday released a comprehensive school plan to make the state's school system a world leader by 2015. The so-called Vision 2015 strategy, whose costs will be released in January, includes adding 140 hours to the school year, switching to a weighted student-funding formula and instituting a research-based curriculum statewide.
