Australia pressures DOT on Delta-Virgin Blue alliance

The Australian government says the U.S. Transportation Department violated the terms of an open skies agreement by opposing a joint venture between Delta Air Lines and Virgin Blue. Australia "strongly supports" antitrust immunity for the trans-Pacific alliance and is asking the DOT to review its initial finding.
