GOP heir to Transport Committee speaks out on priorities

If polls hold true through Election Day, Rep. John Mica, R-Fla., could become chairman of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure next year. Mica says he will focus on public-private partnerships and cutting red tape to complete infrastructure projects more quickly. But some analysts say he could find it hard to advocate for additional infrastructure spending due to the rise of the Tea Party with its focus on fiscal restraint.
