It's countdown time for IPv4 Internet addresses, with the last remaining blocks to be released early next year. "This is a major milestone in the life of the Internet, and means that allocation of the last blocks of IPv4 to the [Regional Internet Registry] is imminent," said Axel Pawlik, Number Resources Organization chairman, in a statement.
