Canine flu is concern for pet owners

Canine influenza, which is suspected to have jumped from horses to dogs in 2004, is likely the cause of death in a Minnesota dog. Most dogs that contract the illness will have milder symptoms, however, according to veterinarian John Clappier. Dogs can be protected against the potentially serious disease with a vaccine available from veterinarians.
