Experts: Cars without drivers are possible in the near future

Automotive semiconductor technology has advanced to the point where driver-less vehicles could be a commercial commodity within the next decade, according to engineering experts in the field. Prototypes of such vehicles already exist, with one van recently completing a trip from Italy to China.
