Study: Poor glucose control may affect bone health

Significantly high blood glucose levels may trigger a fusion between bone marrow cells and nerve cells, resulting in diabetes-related nerve pain and degeneration in patients with type 2 diabetes, a study found. The findings demonstrate that poorly controlled diabetes negatively affects the bones, experts reported in the FASEB Journal.
