Apple may be forced to reveal sensitive financial data

A U.S. Appeals Court will decide whether to uphold a district court judge's ruling Wednesday demanding that Apple reveal a broad range of financial data about specific devices. Apple, which considers the information trade secrets, used the data to hit up Samsung Electronics for damages above the $1.05 billion a jury approved in their recent patent trial. Apple lost another patent-related ruling today when a British court declined to overturn an earlier verdict that cleared Samsung of patent violations related to its tablet devices. The decision will apply throughout Europe.
