Antibacterial, inflatable "Bubble Building" planned in China

Design firm 3GATTI proposes to renovate an old building in Shanghai by wrapping the structure with "inflatables made of white antibacterial technical outdoor nylon." The Bubble Building's facade, which would inflate when the building is fully occupied and deflate when it is empty, would provide efficient insulation and act as a micro greenhouse. "[T]he bubble facade will not be a static facade, it will oscillate with the wind and will interact with its inhabitants," the firm said.
