Brazil's second-largest drugstore operator, Empreendimentos Pague Menos, says it is interested in partnering with CVS Caremark or Walgreen to capitalize on the country's growing need for pharmacies. Brazil is expected to see $24.8 billion in drug sales this year, and sales are projected to increase by 10% annually through 2020, says Sergio Mena Barreto, president of trade group Abrafarma.
