China's yuan hits record high against U.S. dollar

For the fifth consecutive day, China's yuan reached a record high against the U.S. dollar. The yuan opened at at 6.0915 to the dollar Friday, already at its highest value since China revalued the currency in 2005. Earlier, the People's Bank of China set the yuan's central parity rate at 6.1372, also a record.
