Experts: Appealing returns spur higher demand for catastrophe bonds

Investors are continuing to buy more catastrophe bonds because of relatively attractive returns and the bonds' independence from stock-market volatility, according to experts. Catastrophe-bond issuance has surpassed $6 billion in 2013 and is expected to be the most since 2007, Artemis said.
