Ga. city council selects manager from within state

The Villa Rica, Ga., City Council has named Pat Crook as city manager. Crook serves as city manager in Adairsville and also has experience as county administrator of Paulding County. "She was one of 40-plus applicants that applied for the position," Villa Rica Mayor J. Allen Collins said. "She possessed several qualities and characteristics we were looking for."
