Liquor board proposes license changes in Charles County, Md.

The Charles County, Md., liquor board on Wednesday proposed increasing the distance requirement between liquor stores and accredited schools from 500 feet to 1,000 feet, and also recommended increasing the number of residents per liquor store license from 1,350 to 2,700. The recommendations came after the board's controversial approval of a license for a liquor store located near a high school.
