Measure PCMHs based on multiple factors, physician says

Patient-centered medical homes should be evaluated for quality and cost based on the particular terms of each model rather than using a single yard stick, according to Asaf Bitton, M.D., of Harvard Medical School. He told the Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative conference that PCMHs should be evaluated by asking "in what situations, with what support, with what payment incentives, with what transformation incentives does the medical home work over what time period?"
