Millennial segment deserves close attention, AmEx VP says

Tony Gonchar, a vice president at American Express Travel, told attendees of the U.S. Representative Travel Network's 2013 National Summit that success for the travel-agent industry lies in learning the behavior and preferences of the emerging millennial generation. "This group is the country's largest cohort -- already larger than the baby boomer generation. Worldwide they account for 20% of all travel spend, and 40% of them are multicultural," Gonchar said.
