School librarians undergo "reinvention" in the digital age

School librarians increasingly are taking on roles as school leaders in the digital transition, according to a recent panel discussion held as part of Connected Educator Month and Connected Librarians Day. "I think there are a lot of people who view the digital shift as a threat to librarians, and I really just think it's a call for reinvention," said Mark Ray, the 2012 Washington State Teacher of the Year.
