Shinseki vows to overcome case backlog now that shutdown is over

The Department of Veterans Affairs is getting back to work now that the federal shutdown has come to an end. The VA gave up some ground in its effort to stem its massive backlog of claims, but VA Secretary Eric Shinseki says the department will step up its efforts: "We will fight hard to regain lost ground. We remain committed to eliminating the disability claims backlog in 2015."
