U.K. retailers see rise in furniture, housewares sales

As the U.K.’s property market improves, retailers are seeing a surge in demand for furniture and household goods. The Office for National Statistics recorded a 0.7% rise in furniture retail sales and a 3% rise in homeware purchases, as well as the largest quarterly rise since March 2008.
