Teen with Down syndrome named homecoming queen

When Anne Jennings, 17, who has Down syndrome, was elected homecoming queen of her Illinois high school, classmates cheered wildly for the friend they say reflects both inner and outer beauty. "Amazing. Unbelievable," said Anne's mother, Ellen Jennings, who broke into tears at the announcement. "You teach kids to do the right thing and treat people all like individuals, and look what happens."
