FDA approves Gardasil for boys, young men

The FDA has authorized Merck & Co. to begin promoting its vaccine Gardasil to protect males ages 9 to 26 against genital warts caused by human papillomavirus infections. The approval is "an important milestone" for Merck and in the treatment of HPV-related diseases, a Merck official said.
