Georgia businesses get their start with SBA-backed loans

Child care operator Ezra Hatcher and birthday party business owner Jenny Housely are examples of two Augusta, Ga., startups funded through loans guaranteed by the Small Business Administration. The stimulus funds that were set aside for SBA loan guarantees have resulted in an increase in lending to small businesses, says Terri Denison, the agency's Georgia district director.
