Study: Shopping habits have shifted, but not toward cooking

The majority of consumers will switch to cheaper food brands and are buying more private-label goods, a study found. But most aren't buying ingredients to cook full meals at home. Instead, they are shopping for comfort snacks and microwaveable products as alternatives to takeout.
