EU ushers in 5-year ban on cloning animals for food

The European Commission approved a temporary ban on the practice of cloning animals for food production in the European Union. The five-year ban allows the importation of food from the offspring of cloned animals produced in other countries, saying a worldwide ban would be difficult if not impossible to enforce.
