Source: Dentsu decides against AKQA acquisition

Dentsu USA is said to no longer be pursuing an acquisition of AKQA due to price considerations -- the asking price of $550 million to $600 million is more than Dentsu wants to invest. WPP, an unnamed media company and a tech company reportedly are still negotiating to acquire the San Francisco-based digital shop. Neither Dentsu nor AKQA commented for this article.
