Sustainable building is a serious business, says philosopher

As director of Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne's Center for the Built Environment, Regina Leffers says her goal is to get people to think about the consequences of their design choices, and in doing so to put green building on the map. Leffers, a trained philosopher, says the construction sector needs to focus on sustainable projects that reduce waste and live up to our society's core values. "Construction and philosophy meet in the center," she says, "with sustainability."
