Burnett cuts 16 from its ranks

Leo Burnett Co. has laid off 16 workers, most of them relatively senior, as part of "a strategic agency reorganization effort." According to one news report, a source said the cuts appeared to target creatives and account executives who were close to former chief creative officer Cheryl Berman, who left earlier this month, an agency spokesperson said there was "no connection at all" to Berman's departure.
