Judge: Jury should hear evidence in Allstate age bias case

A jury must hear evidence on whether Allstate Insurance discriminated against older insurance agents when it adopted a plan to reduce costs and become more efficient, a federal district judge has ruled. Allstate says the case is groundless, but the judge says government attorneys presented evidence that "a reasonable jury could find" that Allstate violated anti-discrimination laws.
