California school trains youth for broadcasting careers

Inner-city Los Angeles-area youth are exploring behind-the-scenes careers in the broadcasting industry, at an innovative vocational-training center that aims to train more bilingual TV and radio technicians. "We need to diversify our industry at all levels, and that's what we're helping to do," said Rolando Nichols, the school's co-founder. "We're giving opportunities to kids who otherwise might have done menial work for the rest of their lives."
